I like Fog. Yesterday I was driving back from work in the South Bay, sweating in the 80 degree heat. Like clockwork, when I got within 10 miles of San Francisco, WOOSH - a wall of Fog blanketed everything around me. I've come to really like it though. Time seems to slow down when you're walking through the mist, like the witch from Sleeping Beauty has cast her spell on this city.
The cool, damp weather means certain plants thrive here. The Nasturtium and Ferns in my garden are very happy.
For warm weather flowers, I rely on my buds growing in sunnier conditions both North and South of the city.
This week's bounty was Fragrant Evelyn Garden Roses and Distant Drums Roses from Petaluma; Cerinthe, Foxglove, Marjoram, Cosmos, and Helichrysum buds from Soquel.
